Qualification Information:

Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Business you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Units to be completed and learning outcomes:

To achieve this qualification you need to complete 10 units of competency, which have been developed into 7 online lessons.  Other options are also available based on your previous experiences or qualifications achieved.

Enrolment Information

This course is delivered completely on-line therefore there are no fixed enrolment dates; you enrol and commence your course at a time and place suitable for you. There are no classroom dates and times that you need to factor in to your busy work schedule.

Once enrolled you have 12 months to complete your qualification. We envisage it will take much shorter to achieve your qualification; you are in control of when and how you complete this.

Total nominal hours: 250 hours

We envisage that the approx hours for each lesson is approx: 20-35 hours (this is dependent on your previous experiences and current skills and knowledge.

Course Cost:

The full cost of this course is: AU$1890 on a 10 month payment plan.  Pay upfront NOW and you will only pay AU$1490.  This is a saving to you of $400! 

Payment plans consist of an upfront payment and then monthly payments over a long or short term, depending on your preference.  We can work together at deciding the best payment option suitable to your needs.

ASSESSMENT PATHWAYS including Recognition of Prior Learning
Assessments require students to apply their knowledge and skills within a fictional or actual work environment. A fictional workplace is provided online to assist with completing some of the assessments to determine underpinning knowledge and skill.

You will need a practice environment / workplace to complete the following assessment tasks:
1.  To confirm your ability to ensure a safe workplace
2.  To confirm your ability to provide consistently good customer service.  If you do not have a current work environment, you may need to volunteer your services or seek work placement experience to meet these requirements, or you may provide a reference from a previous employer that covers these requirements.

Types of assessment tasks take the form of:
  • Questionnaires
  • Case Study tasks
  • Portfolio’s
  • Third Party Reports (references)
Assessments are conducted on-line and submitted via the learning management system (LMS) or can be mailed into Connect Training Group for assessment.

Recognition of Prior Learning or current competency (RPL)

If you feel you already have competence in any of the units within this qualification, you can apply to have these skills recognised through the RPL process.

Please contact your Connect trainer to discuss possible RPL options based on your current skills and knowledge across any of these units. Evidence of work experience can be used in your RPL application. A formal interview also forms part of your RPL process.

RESOURCES REQUIRED including Language Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you will need:
  • Access to a computer with internet connection
  • Access to a workplace or practice environment
  • Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course, e.g
    • Literacy skills to write, read, interpret and comprehend a variety of information
    • Language skills to provide clear information/instructions and to give receive and interpret information and feedback
    • Numeracy skills to solve routine problems
