COURSE INFORMATION
The entry requirements for the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment 'Teacher’s Fast Track Bridging Course' are rigorous, so that we can protect the integrity of the qualification and the teaching and training professions.

In order to qualify for the Teachers Fast Track Bridging Course, you must:
  • Hold a Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma of Education
  • Have successfully passed your first year probation period as a practicing teacher.
  • Have recent teaching experience in a secondary school environment
  • Arrange to have your principal sign a Statutory Declaration (provided by Connect Training Group) to verify your ability at meeting some of the criteria from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Send us a certified copy of your BSZ40198 along with a current resume or bio
Enrolment Period: 12 months            

Units to be completed: 5

Recognition of Previous Study

If you can provide the evidence as listed under ENTRY REQUIREMENTS, you can receive recognition of prior learning for these 9 units within the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment:

TAAENV402B, TAADEL301C, TAADEL401B, TAADEL402B, TAADEL403B, TAADEL404B, TAADES402B, TAAASS401C & TAAASS402C.

This means you will only need to complete 5 more units to achieve the full TAA40104 qualification! 

This is a truly a ‘Fast Track’ to achieving this qualification!

Entry Requirements:
  • Entry requirements into the Teachers Fast Track to receive recognition for 9 of the 14 units, you must supply:
  • A certified copy of your Bach of Ed or Grad Dip of Ed
  • A resume’ or bio supporting your teaching experiences and confirmation of passing your 12 month probation period
  • Arrange to have the Statutory Declaration (supplied by Connect Training Group) signed by your Principal confirming your teaching status.
Qualification Information
Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Teachers Fast Track Briding course, you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Units you will need to complete are:
 
·         TAAENV401B: Work Effectively in Vocational Education and Training
·         TAAENV403B: Ensure a Safe Learning Environment
·         TAADES401B: Use Training Packages to Meet Client Needs
·         TAAASS403B: Develop Assessment Tools
·         TAAASS404B: Participate in Assessment Validation

ENROLMENT INFORMATION
This course is delivered on-line or via correspondence, therefore there are no fixed enrolment dates, you enrol and commence your course at a time and place suitable for you. There are no classroom dates and times that you need to factor in to your busy work schedule.

Time Frame:
Once enrolled you have 12 months to complete your qualification. We envisage it will take much shorter to achieve your qualification; you are in control of when and how you complete this.

Total nominal hours for the 5 units to be completed: 100 hours
Envisage approx hours for each unit: 20 hours
It is hard to estimate how long each unit will take as it depends on your previous experience in this area. 20 hours a unit is a generous estimate.

Recognition of Prior Learning or current competency (RPL)
If you feel you already have competence in any of the remaining 5 units within this qualification, you can apply to have these skills recognised through the RPL process.
RPL Application guides are available on request. All evidence must accompany the application guide as per Connect Training Group RPL policy which is detailed in the student handbook.
Evidence of work experience can be used in your RPL application. A formal interview also forms part of your RPL process.

RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS including Language Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you will need:
  • Access to a computer with internet connection
  • Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course, e.g.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend written information to develop learning and assessment content and processes
  • Language skills to provide clear information/instructions and to give receive and interpret feedback to the necessary level between trainer/assessor and client group.
