BRIDGING COURSE: BSZ40198 to TAA40104

The TAA04 Training and Assessment, Training Package, covers a wider range of vocational education and training (VET) professionals, not just workplace trainers and assessors. It includes competencies for workplace or RTO based assessors, teachers/trainers, educationalists, support personnel and middle level technical managers.

The review of the old qualifications within the BSZ98 Assessment and Workplace Training Package resulted in a number of changes being made including reworking all the previous content and the development of additional competencies.

However, there are a number of units from the old qualification that do map over to the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

To enrol in this bridging course, you MUST hold the BSZ40198 qualification and wish to upgrade to the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as provide evidence that you are still current in these skills.

RECOGNITION UNITS

Upon meeting the evidence requirements as listed in the “Evidence Required” section below, you may be entitled to recognition of the following 6 units:

BSZ405A = TAADES402B - Design and develop learning programs
BSZ404A = TAADEL301B - Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills
BSZ406A = TAADEL402B - Facilitate group-based delivery
BSZ407A = TAADEL401B - Plan and organise group-based delivery
BSZ401A = TAAASS401B* - Plan and organise assessment
BSZ402A = TAAASS402B* - Assess competence

You can also receive credit transfer for an additional 2 units, upon receiving additional evidence to confirm you have, facilitated work based learning as well as individual one-on-one learning.
* As these 2 units have changed since this mapping took place you will also need to provide additional evidence relating to your involvement in assessing a candidate through RPL as well as providing an assessment only pathway for candidates.

Additional 2 Units:

TAADEL403B - Facilitate individual learning (partial equivalence).
TAADEL404B - Facilitate work-based learning (partial equivalence).

THIS LEAVES THE FOLLOWING 6 UNITS TO BE COMPLETED TO ACHIEVE THE TAA40104 QUALIFICATION:

TAAENV403B - Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
TAADES401B -Use Training Packages to meet client needs.
TAAASS403B - Develop assessment tools
TAAASS404B - Participate in assessment validation

EVIDENCE REQUIRED

To meet the entry requirements of this bridging course and credit transfer for 8 of the 14 units of the TAA40104, you need to provide the following evidence:

Certified copy of your original BSZ40198 qualification
Current resume
A STATUTORY DECLARATION (a statutory declaration is provided in your course material), signed off by your training manager or similar, to confirm you have facilitated work based learning as well as individual one-on-one learning.

Enrolment Period: 6 months

Units to be completed: 6 plus Stat dec for 2 which only partially map.
